Disability Support Services (DSS) is hosting their annual Wheelchair Flag Football showdown against the Lakeshore Foundation Tuesday, Oct. 16.

This marks the seventh Wheelchair Flag Football game between UAB and Lakeshore Foundation. Observing Disability Awareness Month, the event will celebrate the different types of communities and cultures in Birmingham and UAB.

Student and staff participants will compete against Lakeshore’s team, showcasing their Blazer skills. Guests will receive free pizza and cookies! All attendees will be entered into ticket giveaways for the McWane Center and the Birmingham Barons!

The game will start at 6 p.m on Court 1 and 2 in the Campus Recreation Center. Attendance is free. To be in the game or for information and disability accommodations, contact DSS at dss@uab.edu.
