UAB’s Collegiate Recovery held its first open house on Tuesday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event coincided with National Alcohol and Drug Fact Week. Participants stopped by to tour the CRC’s office space, and talk with CRC staff about their services and the different levels of support they offer to members of UAB’s campus.

In addition to light refreshments and promotional items, the Jefferson County Department of Health was present, administering free naloxone training sessions and kits for interested participants.

The CRC’s goal is to empower those looking to change their relationship with substances through sober events, meaningful connections, and on-campus support.
