Your favorite flicks are back in the theater! The UAB University Programs Board will be hosting a film series throughout March and April with screenings of recent films fresh off the movie screen.

It's that time of year again! Come out to the UAB Leadership and Service Council's  Into the Streets Day of Service. The event will take place Saturday, March 5 at 8 a.m. in the UAB Campus Recreation Center.

Challenge yourself and learn valuable skills by becoming a leader at UAB. During the month of January, leadership opportunities will be offered through the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership.

In order to raise awareness for mental health and attempt to counteract harsh realities, Active Minds, a mental health organization on campus, strives to eliminate stigma and change the conversation of mental health.

The Undergraduate Student Government Association will host an "It's on Us" pledge event on November 16 from 2-4pm in the Blazer Hall Residence Life Center.

Mattie Boyd, a senior marketing major, has been named Miss UAB 2016.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, more than 500 UAB students met at the Campus Rec Center before dispersing out into the city to participate in service projects. Into the Streets is put on by the Leadership and Service Council twice per year, in October and March.
