Elise Weatherly: Building Strength, Lifting Others
Molecular motor proteins are tiny engines inside our cells, carrying life forward step by step. For Elise Weatherly, they’re not only the focus of her Ph.D. research, but also the perfect metaphor for the kind of leader she has become at UAB. “Motor proteins move things forward,” she says. “That’s what I want to do - help people get to where they need to be.”
