The UAB Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and the UAB Office of Interprofessional Simulation (OIPS) is pleased to announce American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) endorsement of their simulation program. UAB has recently become one of only 43 ASA-endorsed centers in the United States and is the only site in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Arkansas, or Louisiana. UAB will offer simulation courses for Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology that count towards Part IV of the anesthesiologist’s recertification process.
