The yearlong program began in June 2024 with a cohort of 18 faculty leaders. It is designed to equip department chairs with the skills necessary to excel as leaders on campus. The next cohort will be selected by early May.

The new Master of Science in Learning Design & Learning Sciences program in the School of Education and Human Sciences starts this fall and is enrolling now. It is the first master's program focused on the learning sciences in Alabama, and one of a handful around the world, says director Jonan Phillip Donaldson, Ph.D.
