Mentor: Dr. Ranu Surolia, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care
The Surolia lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher interested in studying inhalation and systemic toxicant exposures-mediated pathogenesis of chronic lung diseases.
Our research aims to understand how toxicants-induced adaptive immune responses become pathogenic and lead to airway inflammation to develop small airway diseases. The postdoc will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of experiments on toxicant exposure-mediated modulated immune responses in mouse models. The successful candidate will conduct independent and original research in a supportive, collegial, inclusive, and highly collaborative work environment.

The Ideal Candidate will have:
- A Ph.D. in T-cell biology/ pulmonary diseases or related discipline.
- Prior experience with flow cytometry and single-cell transcriptomics.
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Ability to independently design and execute experiments and interpret data.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to follow the best practice of research record-keeping.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
