Members of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity, Pi-Delta chapter at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), received kudos for their community service activities in a recent issue of The TEKE magazine.

 

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Members of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity, Pi-Delta chapter at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), received kudos for their community service activities in a recent issue of The TEKE magazine.

Members of the fraternity were honored for their volunteer work in Birmingham on Martin Luther King Day in January as part of an MLK Day of Service event. They assisted the organization Birmingham Weed and Seed by picking up trash and painting over graffiti in one city neighborhood. Members also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Birmingham and helped build a house in Leeds.
