That’s the question that will be posed at a new seminar/Webinar to be hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) University Transportation Center (UTC) and the South Central Center for Public Health Preparedness that will explore “Disaster Preparedness from Multiple Perspectives.”

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Are we ready for a disaster? That's the question that will be posed at a new seminar/Webinar to be hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) University Transportation Center (UTC) and the South Central Center for Public Health Preparedness that will explore "Disaster Preparedness from Multiple Perspectives."

The Tuesday, July 28 event will feature experts in emergency preparedness from UAB and the University of Alabama. UTC investigator Gerald McGwin, Ph.D., professor of epidemiology in the UAB School of Public Health, will moderate a roundtable discussion at the conclusion of the seminar.

Speakers will be drawn from departments throughout UAB, including the departments of Epidemiology, Health Care Organization and Policy, Pediatrics and Social Work.

The seminar is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 28 in the UAB Center for Aging Conference Room (Room 207) in the Community Health Services Building at 933 19th Street South.
