BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The next University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Liver Disease Support Group meeting is Tuesday, July 14 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the fourth floor conference room of The Kirklin Clinic, 2000 6th Ave. S.

At the meeting, two patients will share their experiences of living with liver disease and life after transplant.

Participation in the support group is free and parking is available in The Kirklin Clinic parking deck. Call 205-975-6972 or email LiverCenter@uab.edu for more information.

The UAB Liver Disease Support Group, organized in 2007, provides a forum for adult patients with liver disease to learn more about their condition and share their experiences with others. The group also offers educational programs covering medical, social and nutritional topics.

The support group is affiliated with the UAB Liver Center, and the group's meetings and activities are coordinated by Tracey Gwaltney, C.R.N.P. The group meets from 6 to 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of every other month at The Kirklin Clinic.
