Author, Food Editor Kim Sunèe to Speak at UAB Fundraiser

The UAB Department of English will present “An Evening With Kim Sunée,” author of the memoir “Trail of Crumbs: Hunger, Love, and the Search for Home,” 5:30 - 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at The Fish Market Restaurant, 612 22nd St. S. The cost is $30. All proceeds will benefit the UAB Department of English Recruiting Scholarship.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Department of English will present "An Evening With Kim Sunée," author of the memoir "Trail of Crumbs: Hunger, Love, and the Search for Home," 5:30 - 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at The Fish Market Restaurant, 612 22nd St. S. The cost is $30. All proceeds will benefit the UAB Department of English Recruiting Scholarship.

In "Trail of Crumbs: Hunger, Love, and the Search for Home" Sunée traces her quest for identity, from her abandonment at age 3 in Korea, her adoption and upbringing in New Orleans, to her romance with a French multimillionaire in the High Alps of Provence. The book has been featured in publications such as Epicurious, Glamour and People magazines, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times and the New York Post.
