Single tickets for upcoming shows at the Alys Stephens Center go on sale Monday, August 11, and to celebrate the Alys Stephens Center will open early and offer free food and prize giveaways to ticket buyers.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Single tickets for upcoming shows at the Alys Stephens Center go on sale Monday, August 11, and to celebrate the Alys Stephens Center will open early and offer free food and prize giveaways to ticket buyers.

The Alys Stephens Center Box Office, located at 1200 10th Ave. S., Birmingham, will open early at 8 a.m. to better accommodate ticket seekers. During the day Alys Stephens Center staff  will give away "ASC Gift Shop Bucks" and "ASC Box Office Bucks," which can be redeemed for $1 off a purchase. Lucy's Coffee and Tea will offer coffee and pastries in the morning, and snacks also will be provided by area restaurants for lunchtime. Each single ticket purchased that day will earn the purchaser one entry into a contest drawing. Among the contest prizes are season performer CDs, tickets to upcoming shows in the Alys Stephens Center season, a Vulcan statue "bobblehead" doll signed by comedian Lily Tomlin and more.        

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Campus Ride will offer free shuttle service to the Alys Stephens center for UAB employees. Discounted ticket prices also are available to UAB students, staff and employees.
