UAB, Viva Health and The Birmingham News sponsor the center's 12th season as they raise the curtain on classical, jazz, pop and world music, comedy, theater, dance and family entertainment for all ages. Performers include kd lang, Garrison Keillor , Wanda Sykes, Pilobolus Dance Theatre, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt, Mavis Staples, Second City, The Chieftains , Marsalis Brasilianos, Harlem String Quartet and more.

New this season at the Alys Stephens Center is A+ seating. Choose A+ seating for first choice of seats and added benefits such as concierge service, discounts and meet the artist opportunities. New "Continue the Experience" events including free parties, wine tastings, dance lessons, refreshments and more, enhance many shows in the season.

Subscription packages range from $34 to $212. Discounts are available for UAB students, faculty and staff and groups of 10 or more. Pick your own series with the "It's Your Choice" package: select five regular performances, add the total cost and subtract 10 percent. The Alys Stephens Center officially kicks off the new season with BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet (photo) . Dance the night away with music and dancing in the lobby, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, drink specials, prizes and free Cajun dance lessons.
