Department of Urology Associate Professor and Director of Medical Student Education Tracey Wilson, M.D., was elected into the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine (HSOM) Faculty Council in January 2023

The HSOM Faculty Council is a principal advisory committee that serves the dean of the School of Medicine and provides review and assessment of promotions, appointments, and tenure status for clinical and basic science faculty members. 

Dr. Wilson will be involved with annual promotions and tenure review cycles and will be key in helping maintain top-tier standards for faculty employment at UAB. Wilson will serve a three-year term and will be able to potentially retain council membership at the end of the term.

The department is proud to have another member represent and support the mission of the council in facilitating promotions and accolades for high-performing faculty who reflect both the positive values and standards set forth by the Heersink School of Medicine.
