David Joseph, M.D., professor in the Department of Urology, has been recognized by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for volunteering his expertise to the Review Committee.
The ACGME accredits and oversees the quality of approximately 12,000 graduate medical education (GME) programs, as well as more than 800 institutions that sponsor those programs, every year.
The ACGME relies heavily on the expertise of nationally renowned physicians, like Joseph, to volunteer their time to provide recommendations and decisions that affect more than 140,000 residents and fellows and millions of patients each year.
Thomas Nasca, M.D., president and chief executive officer of the ACGME, thanked Joseph for his “commitment to the physicians of tomorrow, the future of medical education, and the health of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
