The 2024 Tri-State Pathology Conference took place April 27-28 at the Gulf Hills Hotel & Resort in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, bringing together the Alabama Association of Pathologists, the Louisiana Association of Pathologists, and the Mississippi Association of Pathologists for a stellar lineup of presentations.

Frida Rosenblum, M.D., Associate Professor, gave the lecture, titled, "Understanding and Navigating Diagnostic Pitfalls in Lymph Node Cytology." Abdullah Osme, M.D., Assistant Professor, and Kesley Green, M.D., PGY4, presented the poster, titled, "Rare Case of Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis following Liver Transplant." Miruna Popescu, M.D., presented the poster, "A Case of Incidental ALECT-2 Amyloidosis of the Kidney and Adrenal Gland in a Caucasian Man with Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma." Co-authors include Drs. Jacob Havens, Andrea Kahn and Cristina Magi-Galluzzi.

Congratulations to Sarah Anderson, D.O., Surgical Pathology Fellow, whose poster was selected as one of three award winners, for her poster, "A Teratoma's Secret Symphony in Anti-NMDA Encephalitis: A Case Report." Co-authors on this poster include Drs. Valeria Dal Zotto, Hua Guo, Deepti Dhall and Andrea Kahn.
