The UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will travel to White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia for the 39th Annual Southern Orthopaedic Association (SOA) meeting July 21-23.
The SOA meeting will feature several UAB faculty, residents, fellows, and medical students as they deliver discussions and present research.
According to SOA, the objective of the annual meetings is to disseminate current clinical, research and practice innovations in orthopaedic medicine. The annual meeting has been created mainly for orthopaedic and trauma surgeons.
Overall Conference
On the last day of the conference, PGY-3 Kevin Wall, M.D., MPH, will recieve the SOA and Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) Resident Award and present his research “Liposomal Bupivacaine Provides Better Comfort than Interscalene Catheter following Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery.”
