UAB Medicine recognized both Highlands Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine clinics as “high-performers” for fall 2020.

The distinction of “high performer” is awarded to clinics who utilize Phreesia- an express online check in platform. Phreesia allows patients to conveniently and securely check in from their own device or provide a private in-office check-in experience with PhreesiaPads and arrivals stations.

For patients, the tool not only acts as an increased safety measure during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is also a more efficient, user-friendly way to check in. Theiss is proud of the department for adapting to the technology.
