Biography

Dr. Eugene ‘Will’ Brabston joined the faculty of UAB’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2014. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the shoulder and elbow and sports medicine sections.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Brabston has ongoing research related to his specialty including such projects as: Tenodesis vs. Tenotomy for Treatment of Biceps Tendonitis. He publishes and presents his research findings on a regular basis. Dr. Brabston has won numerous awards such as the John W. McDonald Memorial Award in Surgery, University of South Alabama 2008.

He has experience in serving both high school and college-level teams as their Team Physician.
