
The Department of Radiology recognized faculty, trainees, and staff for outstanding achievements during its 2026 Annual Awards Ceremony, celebrating excellence in research, clinical care, education, and service.
Research honors
Sharon Samuel received the award for best research paper, while Gaurav Rathi earned recognition for best Ph.D. trainee research paper.
Innovation and leadership
The Light Bulb Award, which highlights innovation, went to Heather Fisher for operational contributions and Cathy Chen, M.D., for clinical innovation. Jennifer Dupree received the Headliner Award for high-impact contributions across the department.
Clinical and educational excellence
Kathryn Zamora, M.D., M.P.H., was honored with the Clinical Advancement Award.
The Educational Initiative Award was presented to Daniel Goldberg-Zimring, Ph.D., and Manoj Tanwar, M.D., for advancing training and education programs.
Patient care and collaboration
Stefanie Zalasin, M.D., and Ceren Yalniz, M.D., received the Patient Engagement Award for their commitment to improving patient experience. Manoj Tanwar, M.D., also earned the Collaborative Award for fostering teamwork across disciplines. The Breast Imaging Section was recognized with the Radiology Together Award.
The Behind the Scenes Award recognized Ben Holtkamp for research support, Doan Phan for clinical contributions, and Pam Frye Taylor for administrative excellence.
The Top Kudos Award honored Amber Everett, Cory Smith, M.D., and Bonnie Beth Moore, M.D.
