Qing Richard Lu, Ph.D., professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology
Qing Richard Lu, Ph.D., professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, earned his PhD from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Lu completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. His research interests focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying pediatric brain tumors, particularly malignant gliomas and medulloblastoma, as well as neurological diseases, with an emphasis on glial lineage biology, epigenetic regulation, tumor heterogeneity and the development of innovative targeted and immunotherapeutic strategies.
The department is glad to have Dr. Lu on board and can't wait to see the impact he will make at UAB!
