UAB recently recognized 10 individuals for their years of service in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, ranging from five years to 30 years. The UAB and UAB Medicine Service Awards honor employees who have made a significant career commitment to UAB, with recognition happening at every five-year milestone.
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery had one 30-year Service Awards recipient in 2025, Yvonne Kennedy, marking longstanding dedication within the department.
"Our department’s success would not be possible without the extraordinary faculty and staff we are honoring this year,” said Justin Turner, M.D., Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. “These service milestones reflect years of clinical excellence, education, research, and mentorship. I am incredibly proud of each honoree and thankful for their continued dedication to advancing our mission and caring for our community."
