The UAB Department of Neurology is proud to announce its Chief Residents for the 2026-2027 academic year: Amy Grice, D.O., PGY3; Ashley Rizzieri, D.O., PGY3; and William Walker, M.D., PGY3. 

Chief Residents are responsible for providing leadership within the residency program by representing residents, supporting education and mentorship, and serving as a liaison between residents and program leadership. They also oversee day-to-day operations such as scheduling, enduring duty-hour compliance, and helping maintain a professional, suypportive clinical learning environment.

Grice, Rizzieri, and Walker share their reflections on being named Chief Resident for the 2026-2027 academic year.
