UAB Medicine's Leadership Development Office (LDO) recently celebrated the graduation of 26 clinical and operational leaders who successfully completed the High Performing Care Collaborative (HPCC) program. This initiative brings together functional leadership teams from across the institution to strengthen collaboration, enhance performance, and drive meaningful improvements in patient care and operations.
The HPCC Program (Functional Leadership Teams) is designed to immerse intact clinical leadership teams in key management and leadership principles that directly impact outcomes. Through the program, participants work collaboratively to develop and implement customized action plans tailored to their teams’ specific challenges. By engaging leaders from a variety of departments and disciplines, HPCC fosters cross-functional collaboration, encourages creative problem-solving, and builds stronger connections across the health system.
