Department of Neurosurgery Assistant Professor Marshall Holland, M.D., MS, was selected to be a Scholar in the Academy Emerging Investigators Program (EIP), organized by the American Academy of Neurological Surgery.
The EIP was created to provide rigorous early career mentoring to junior faculty. The program combines structured research goals and milestones with biannual intense mentoring sessions.
Individuals are selected for participation in the EIP by the Neurosurgeon Research Career Development Program (NRCDP) Executive Committee or Department Chair nominations. The junior faculty receive individualized coaching and mentoring on a range of topics related to early their research careers.
“I am honored to be a part of this program that fosters the development of young neurosurgeons committed to a neurosurgeon-scientist career. I am also humbled at the opportunity to network with and be directly mentored by some of the most successful neurosurgeon scientists in the field,” said Holland.
