The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurosurgery OR Team Leader Janice Kennedy Hardin, BSN, RN, recently received a Clinical Excellence in Nursing Award, the highest honor presented to select members of UAB’s nursing staff.

According to UAB Medicine, this award is given based upon “nursing knowledge, technical skills, and clinical leadership.”

Awards are presented annually during the American Nurses Association’s annual National Nurses Week.
