Department welcomes postdoc Mohammad Alhefdi

The UAB Department of Neurosurgery welcomes Mohammad Alhefdi, Ph.D., as a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Zachary Irwin's lab.
Dr. Alhefdi received his Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022. He worked on the smart city domain - emphasizing IoT and Blockchain - by investigating and applying graph theory techniques to analyze and design complex systems.
His research interests are in complexity theory and complex systems domains. He worked as a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UAB. Additionally, he worked as a researcher in the UAB Integrated Systems Center. In his free time, he likes to travel and spend time with his family. He is also a big fan of the Real Madrid CF soccer team.
