The UAB Department of Neurosurgery welcomes Fatima Jimenez.

Jimenez, a first-generation biomedical sciences student at UAB, joins the department as a student assistant in the research lab of Assistant Professor Gao Guo, DDS., MSD, Ph.D. “I am hoping this experience will help me on my journey to contribute to the low number of Latina doctors in the U.S.,” says Jimenez. While she loves the sciences, Jimenez winds down by painting, crocheting and doing anything related to the arts.
