The department is pleased to welcome new program manager II, effective Jan. 3. 

Spruiell completed her undergraduate degree at UAB and received her Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from The Institute's online program.

Spruiell has over fifteen years of risk management experience. Before accomplishing her dream of accepting a position at UAB, Spruiell worked in other healthcare organizations such as Vulcan Materials Company, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Smith Foot & Ankle Surgery Center, and HealthSouth Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital.

Her areas of experience include project management, risk analysis, system administration, and compliance. Spruiell is excited to bring her business background into the healthcare industry.

When Spruiell is not in the office, she likes to travel, read, cook, and watch sports. She also likes to spend time with her husband, Jason, and their four sons.
