Sarah Morgan, MD (Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology) led the International Society for Clinical Densitometry Fracture Prevention Coalition’s lobby effort for better DXA reimbursements from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The Division of Infectious Diseases STD Lab Team hand-folded over 1,000 origami cranes to decorate a tree for the Children’s of Alabama Illumination Fundraiser. Based on the Japanese legend that folding 1,000 origami cranes earns a wish from the gods, the team was inspired to wish for children’s health. See it on display at 7th Avenue atrium until December 1.
