Sometimes when you are in a meeting, it’s handy to gauge reactions with a quick poll to see what everyone thinks.
Microsoft Teams meeting organizers and presenters can use the Polls app while in meetings, meaning that they can launch a poll in the middle of a presentation and get live feedback from their audience. Hosts can even poll patrons before the meeting to collect information ahead of time.
Starting in September, Polls will have a new option, ranking questions. It is a quick way to increase engagement and collect information. Users can rank items by their favorite, or what they deem important.
Here are a few ways to keep the audience engaged with polls:
- Establish goals for your polls, being able to tell users what you want to achieve with the information will make it easier for them to answer.
- Have a practice run with your poll before the actual meeting to work out any kinks so the meeting runs as smoothly as possible.
- Use the findings to discuss areas of growth or improvement.
Polls is integrated into the Microsoft Forms application, where you can see previous polls from other meetings.
