Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 9, the second-floor entrance to the Learning Resource Center will be closed through July 2026. The internal staircase on the west side of the building will also be closed for the duration of the project.

Pedestrians will be guided by signage to avoid the entrance and staircase.

UAB Facilities is renovating the second floor to create a more student focused, multi-functional space. There will be grab and go food options, updated study areas, a new group meeting space, refreshed finishes and furniture, and other improvements to create an inviting space for students to study, socialize, and collaborate.
