Dr. Mahmoud is a licensed professional structural engineer with over a decade of experience in civil/structural and materials engineering. He is a scientist with the Composite Materials Group at the Materials Processing and Development Application (MPAD) Center. His research focuses on manufacturing and developing highperformance, lightweight fiber-reinforced polymer composites. His work aims to enhance the properties of these materials to provide viable alternatives to traditional materials like steel and concrete. Additionally, he is deeply committed to sustainability, incorporating recycling and natural materials into his research to advance the field in an environmentally responsible manner."
