Dr. Hasan KASIM is a postdoctoral research fellow within Prof. Selvum "Brian" Pillay’s Group. His expertise is in the mechanics of elastomer and polymer-based composite materials, and his research interests are to examine the performance of polymer composite and elastomer composite materials by determining their internal structure behavior and mechanical properties according to loading patterns in different environmental environments (shock, cyclic, static). His current research focuses on the development of sustainable processes and application methods for recycling and re -use of carbon and glass fibers from fiber reinforced thermoset composite waste and scrap. Additionally, The works include characterization of composites, performing tests and numerical simulations and theoretical modeling steps.
