Starting in the Spring 2021 semester, a few new applications and links have been added to Canvas. On the user profile menu (accessed by clicking the person icon at the top of the global navigation menu), three new links have been added. These links include UAB Cares, TutorMe and the University Writing center. The UAB Cares link has also been added to the course navigation menu.

On the new rich content editor, the Embed Kaltura Media link has been added directly to the menu bar. This addition provides easier access to embed your Kaltura Media.

Along with the addition of a few new applications and links, some Canvas features have been enabled for use. The Student Assignment Enhancements view have been set to “allow” in all courses. This tool can be enabled for use in the featured options tab in the course settings.

Located on Canvas content pages, access to the Microsoft Immersive Reader has been enabled for use in all courses. The Microsoft Immersive Reader enhances your reading experience by improving accessibility and boosting reading comprehension.
