If you believe you should have access to a Canvas course but cannot see your course in Canvas, please work through the possible solutions below.

Note for users of screen readers: letters in parentheses in the instructions below refer to corresponding areas on example images. If you have any questions about these instructions, contact eLearning for assistance.

  1. Do you see the course listed in your Class Schedule in BlazerNet?
    Yes - If you just registered for the course, please allow up to 24 hours for the course to display in your Canvas Dashboard.
    No - Please contact UAB OneStop or the Registrars Office in regards to your enrollment.
  2. Do you see the course in your list of All Courses?
    If you see the course in this top list, click the Star (C) on the left-hand side to favorite the course so it will display on your Dashboard.
  3. Is the course listed under Future Enrollments?
    Check to see if your course is listed under Future Enrollments (D) section of the All course list. Courses are not set to open until 11:00 p.m. the day before classes start (shown on UAB Academic Calendar) unless the instructor has enabled early access.
  4. Is the Course Published?
    If you see the course but it is not clickable and says it isn’t Published (E), please contact your Instructor in regards to publishing the Canvas course. You can find your instructors email in BlazerNet.
