About the Program

You care about the well-being of your students. Now, you can develop a more personalized approach to student development and mental health by becoming a school psychologist. Alabama-certified school psychometrists can enroll in this graduate degree program to expand their role beyond testing for special education. Learn how to ethically and effectively treat students with learning, behavior, and mental health problems by taking courses that focus on consultation, interdisciplinary collaboration, group and behavioral intervention, and crisis intervention. This program employs a scientist-practitioner model to help you become a competent, knowledgable, and well-rounded psychologist fit to work effectively with diverse populations in a variety of settings. Plus, courses are offered online in a part-time sequential program of study, meaning you can still work full-time and even complete field-based assignments and internship hours in your current school district.
