Henna Budhwani, PhD (2012), MPH holds the endowed Michael and Paula Read Phelan Professorship in Obstetrical Nursing in the Florida State University (FSU) College of Nursing, Institute on Digital Health and Innovation (IDHI) and directs the IDHI’s Interventions and Implementation Science Hub.
As an Implementation Scientist and sociobehavioral interventionist, Dr. Budhwani conducts studies to address the causes and consequences of suboptimal health outcomes among populations experiencing adverse health outcomes in resource-constrained settings, with a specific focus on stigma reduction. Dr. Budhwani’s research adopts a multidimensional view of addressing clinical care and prevention health gaps. She has methodological expertise in mixed-methods research, implementation science, community-engaged scholarship, digital health interventions, and pragmatic clinical trial design. Dr. Budhwani is the FSU Translational Workforce Development (WFD) lead, University of Florida (UF)-FSU Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Dissemination and Implementation Science Core (DISC) Co-Director and Co-Director of the UF-FSU CTSA K2R program, which includes the institutional K12 award program.
Dr. Budhwani earned her doctorate in December 2012. Her committee members were Drs. Shelia Cotten (Committee Chair), William Cockerham, Patricia Sawyer, Belinda Needham, and Jeffrey Hall.
