Research Interests
My primary research interest are sexually transmitted infections and human immunodeficiency virus (STIs and HIV) among adolescents and young adults (AYA; ages 15-25), particularly those from underserved communities. I have always been interested in the social determinants of health, racial and sexual health disparities, social support, and self-efficacy regarding the AYA population. Throughout my studies, I hope to create better and new STI/HIV resources for this population. I also hope to gain knowledge on the AYA’s cognitive ability regarding sexual behavioral decisions.
