PhD, Developmental Psychology concentration, 2017

Dr. Eva Trinh is a Health Scientist and Science Officer for Suicide Prevention at CDC. She is a graduate of the UAB Psychology PhD Program with a concentration in Developmental Psychology. Under the mentorship of Dr. Fred Biasini, she completed her dissertation where she applied a mixed-methods model to analyze the effects of a social skills focused cooking class for youths with an autism spectrum disorder. In 2017, Dr. Trinh also obtained a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership at UAB. Dr. Trinh then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the CDC where she worked with the National Center for Health Statistics, Cancer Surveillance Program, and Healthy Homes and Childhood Lead Poisoning prevention Program. She then served as a health scientist and program evaluation consultant for the CDC Division of Tuberculosis Elimination before settling in her current position on the CDC Suicide Prevention Team in the Applied Sciences Branch of the Division of Injury Prevention.
