Career: Assistant Professor, University of Kentucky College of Public HealthDr. Caitlin Pope is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Graduate Center for Gerontology in the College of Public Health at the University of Kentucky. Her program of research involves taking a lifespan approach to better understanding the cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental factors behind safe mobility and everyday functioning in adults aging with chronic comorbidities, particularly adults aging with HIV. Along with research, Pope teaches core gerontological classes such as Psychology of Aging, Cognitive Aging, and Introduction to Gerontology. She is a graduate of the Psychology PhD program with a concentration in Developmental Psychology and her dissertation chair was Dr. Despina Stavrinos.
