I am pursuing the accelerated BS+MS program in Physics with a concentration in Computational Physics. During my undergraduate studies, I collaborated with researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a project exploring generative machine-learning models for predicting stable crystal structures. It was fascinating to apply ML techniques to discover new and novel materials. Building on that experience, I began working with Dr. Renato Camata on machine learning-guided control of plasma plume dynamics in Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). Our multidimensional laser ablation simulations allow us to study and model plume dynamics, and I analyze these datasets to understand the relationship between plasma parameters and plume behavior. This research aims to improve PLD processes for the synthesis of advanced thin-film materials.
