Mentor: Dr. Fei Xue
My name is Shakeel Ahmad, and I am originally from Pakistan. I earned both my M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in Physics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan, where I specialized in Condensed Matter Theory. In Fall 2024, I joined the Department of Physics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) as a graduate student. My current research focuses on theoretical and computational condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on the study of topological materials and their nonlinear transport properties under the supervision of Dr. Fei Xue.
