Mentor: Dr. Melissa Sims
In 2021, I began my undergraduate studies in physics here at UAB. Upon receiving my bachelor's degree in 2025, I decided to stay at UAB to pursue my master's degree as well. My research interests include the study of light-matter interactions during laser pulse compression, and other topics related to high-energy-density (HED) physics. Currently, I'm using FLASH code to improve our predictive modeling of HEDP experiments, such as predicting changes in laser-energy absorption during ablation by tracking the evolution of the plasma plume. Outside of my research, I enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors.
