Zach won a Gold Addy in the Sound Design category for his project "Bad Medicine," which will now advance to regional competition.
The Department of Music at UAB offers undergraduate concentrations in applied music, music education, and music technology, as well as a graduate program in music education.
Students in the music technology program receive comprehensive training in recording engineering, computer-based music composition and multimedia production, and the UAB Department of Music is the only institution in the state of Alabama to offer professional certification in AVID Pro Tools. Students interested in the music technology program should contact Dr. Henry Panion at panion@uab.edu.
