Everett wins UAB’s first Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship

A UAB professor leads a new discovery that could change how an aggressive thyroid cancer with limited treatments is approached and treated.

For 48 hours, UAB’s alumni, students, faculty, staff, friends and families come together to support the programs and people who make the university exceptional. 

Each semester, the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham offers new, rare, or special topic courses in the “Cool Classes” series—encouraging students to explore unique subjects through innovative curriculums and state-of-the-art tools or methods.
