UAB Professor’s Book Receives Critical Acclaim

Glenn Feldman, Ph.D., professor of history, received the Anne B. and James B. McMillan Book Prize from the University of Alabama Press for his book “The Irony of the Solid South: Democrats, Republicans, and Race, 1865-1944.” The annual award is given to a manuscript “representing outstanding scholarship in the field of American literary studies,” according to the publisher’s website. The prize includes a cash award and full publication of the work.
