Ahmed Amer, the Department of Biology’s Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow, walked away with quite the trophy at the 2015 Alabama State Chess Championship last month.
After winning 4 games and drawing 2 games, he was awarded first place in the Championship’s Reserve Section.
