I am a PhD student in the Department of Biology at UAB. In Dr. Greer Dolby's lab, I am working on two projects to start. First, I am investigating potential links between heavy metal pollution in the environment, antibiotic resistance, and human demographics using geographic information systems. Additionally, with a scientific background in small mammal genomics and hybridization, I will continue to pursue bioinformatics at UAB by analyzing the genetic and transcriptomic data from a sample of desert-adapted small rodents from Baja California.
