Ms. Naara Tourgeman is from Plant City, Florida. She received a Regular Army commission as a Chemical Officer in 2004 through the Army ROTC program at Florida Southern College, where she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminology with a minor in Spanish. Her military education includes Chemical Officer Basic Course, Toxic Agent Training at the Chemical Defense training Facility (CDTF), The Fixed Site Decontamination System Operation Course in Multi-National Corps Iraq (MND-C), Cadet Command Instructor Training Course, Cadet Command Recruiting Operations Course-certified, and the Cadet Command Military History Instructor Course-certified at the US Army Combat Studies Institute.
Ms. Tourgeman’s previous assignments include 2-4 General Support Aviation Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division where she served as the Battalion Chemical Officer, Assistant Battalion S3 then advance to Brigade Chemical Officer/AS3. While assigned to the 4th CAB, 4th ID, then, Captain (CPT) Tourgeman was deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF 05-07 and OIF 08-10). In combat, she was responsible for maintaining the CAB’s ability to protect combat power against a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) attack. CPT Tourgeman was also responsible for planning and coordinating two (2) Battalions of AH-64 Apache combat mission requirements.
Ms. Tourgeman’s Expiration Term of Service from US Army Active Duty was on 01 January 2010, where she obtained a position as the Recruiting Operations Officer at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg. VA (2010- 2012). She requested a transfer to her Alma Mater at Florida Southern College where she was employed as a Department of the Army Civilian (GS) as the Recruiting Operations Officer and Military Science I instructor (2012-2019). She accepted the offer work for US Army Cadet Command, 6th BDE Headquarters as the Brigade Recruiting Operations Specialist where she was the Army ROTC scholarship program manager for GA, AL, MS, LA, FL, and Puerto Rico programs (2021-2024). Ms. Tourgeman has relocated to Alabama due to family and is proudly serving as the Military Science I instructor for the freshmen class at University of Alabama-Birmingham.
